The Paris airport Charles de Gaulle, also known as Roissy, is the largest airport in France and the second largest in Europe after London Heathrow. Located about twenty kilometers north of Paris, in the town of Roissy-en-France, it receives each year more than 60 million travelers.
It has three major terminals:
- Terminal 1 : inaugurated in 1974, it welcomes the majority of international companies
- Terminal 2 : main hub of the French airline Air France and its Skyteam alliance partners. This terminal is itself divided into 7 terminals (2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F, 2G) and also hosts the Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV train station.
- Terminal 3 : this terminal is reserved for low-cost airlines and charter flights.
