History of the Anjou Vine & Wine Museum

The Anjou Vine and Wine Museum was created in 1978 by the Association of Friends of Vine and Wine. It is installed in the former home of the Noieraie in Saint-Lamberts-du-Lattay. In 1983, the museum moved to the cellars of La Coudraye and became the Musée de France in 2002. In 2011, the museum received the "Qualité Tourisme" label.

The specificities of the Anjou Vine & Wine Museum

The visit of the Museum of the Vine and the Wine of Anjou is made in two courses allowing to discover the vine and the trade of the vinegrower. It is in the heart of an old wine cellar dating from the nineteenth century that place thematic rooms showing the different facets of the profession of winegrower and the evolution of the vineyard of Anjou over time. The museum contains a collection of more than 10,000 objects consisting of tools and documents related to the profession of winegrower. Naturally, the visit will end with a small tasting.
