In the big city of Lyon, the parking is paying. In the nine districts of the city, there are several parking areas where it is possible to park from 9 am to 19 pm. The first 15 minutes of parking are free and the parking time is limited to 1:30 except for Tempo areas where it is possible to park for up to 3 hours.
The city of Lyon has several parking rates according to the defined zones.
Apart from the TCL relay parks, open from 4 am to 1 am depending on the zone, you can also park in Presto, Chrono, Tempo and Nocturne parking areas.
If you are looking for parking in the hypercentre of Lyon, it will be Presto areas that you will find. The fare in this area is progressive and costs a maximum of € 5 which corresponds to the maximum allowed duration of 1 h 30. The minimum payment for this type of parking is € 1 for 30 minutes and therefore € 2 per hour.
In the Chrono zone, at Lyon's district centers, you must pay at least 20 minutes, which corresponds to 0.5 €. The hourly rate is 1.5 € and therefore 3 € in total for the maximum duration (1 h 30) allowed.
In the Tempo zones, you will pay a maximum of € 4 for three hours. The cost per hour in this zone is 1.30 €.
Finally, the maximum time allowed for parking in a Night Zone is 14 hours. It is possible to park in this area from 7 pm to 9 am except on Saturdays (7 pm to 4 am). The price is € 3 per night.
